The British player reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams this year.

The British tennis star Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from her final two events of the year because of a medical condition she has been battling for the last week and a half.

Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in events in Asia but chose to travel back to regain her health before starting plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training will involve her coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together again next season.

She underwent blood pressure monitoring during her first-round match with Ann Li in Wuhan and stopped playing when losing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She needed once more medical attention at the Ningbo Open this week, where she lost in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

Her movement was noticeably restricted in the third set in the match with Zhu due to back discomfort that has affected her on several occasions in 2025.

These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which the player advanced into the world's top 30 after more than three years for the first time since 2022, concluded with three straight losses.

She held three match points prior to falling to Pegula in the third round in Beijing last month.

Raducanu won twenty-eight matches during 2025 and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her most impressive week was at March's Miami Open.

As Britain's top player made the last eight of the WTA 1000 event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed en route prior to a loss in a three-set match to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She worked with trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig taking over for the US Open.

The original arrangement with the former trainer of Nadal was until the end of the season but the partnership will continue, with planned training sessions late this year.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She came very close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their first tournament together in August's Cincinnati tournament.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she made the third stage before being beaten by 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
