Across the intensely contested arena of gaming, it's usual for new contenders to fade away as swiftly as they enter the scene.

However Battlefield 6 is striving to change that.

It's the most recent addition in a long-standing military shooter series often described as a grittier response to Call of Duty.

This game has not quite succeeded to rival its best-known opponent in aspects of sales or user base, but evidence points to the latest version could narrow the difference.

A preview weekend enabling gamers a shot to test the release earlier this year broke records, and the hype leading up to its launch has been massive.

Building On Previous Mistakes

This title follows the release of the sci-fi the previous game, launched four years ago to a negative reception it had difficulty to overcome.

"We probably would find it impossible to make and develop the latest entry lacking the insights we had in the previous title," the manager tells the press.

Regarding the anticipation on the team, he states: "There is demand but also it's exciting.

"This is a large venture. It's probably the most significant that the majority of the team have ever been involved in."

Young Talent Contributes Innovative View
