Ukraine Launches Mass Production of New Defensive Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Ukraine has announced the start of large-scale manufacturing for a new locally engineered interceptor drone to strengthen its aerial protection systems. Three initial producers have begun production, with an additional eleven getting ready to set up assembly lines, the defence ministry stated on Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Combat Conditions

These UAVs utilize a nationally created technology known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Iranian-made drones. The system underwent testing in combat and demonstrated successful “during nighttime, under jamming and flying low,” officials confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of manufacturing up to 1,000 interceptors daily.
